"Adding and Subtracting Integers" Podcast (Middle School)

The song I recorded below is very helpful in introducing the concept of adding and subtracting integers. It helps learners remember how to perform the operations. You can also find application exercises with their correction below.

It goes like this (easy to memorize, same tune as row row row your boat):
Same sign add and keep,
Different sign subtract.
Take the sign of the bigger number,
Then you'll be exact!

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog! I have a BA in Mathematics and Science Education for Elementary Level from the Lebanese University and an MA in Mathematics Education for Secondary Level from the American University in Beirut. Currently, I'm pursuing a second MA in Special Education from the Lebanese University in order to become a certified special educator. During my 12 year teaching experience, I've seen many learners struggle in math at all levels especially students with Dyscalculia. I hope the activities in this blog will help them through their journey. Feel free to add your comments and post links to any helpful activities. Afterall, we are all here to help!
